Love for the arts was sown early in Manisha's life – with her parents exposing her to finer aspects of music and art. While she learnt the basics of painting at the Triveni Kala Sangam in New Delhi, she is mostly self taught. Her dream of attending the Delhi School of Arts after completing school came to a naught, due to focus on getting equipped with a "dependable" career. After pursuing varied subjects like history and fashion design, she finally found her mettle in the legal profession and is presently a partner at a leading national law firm.
Manisha's art practice has mostly comprised visual representation of people in her life and trees, rendered in semi-abstract manner. Now having completed an extensive course in art history and curatorial studies, she expects a shift. Her next body of work is currently underway.
